As a people we must ask ourselves one question: do we really have the appetite for unvarnished truth? Or is this a selective menu where only some things are palatable to us?

Barkha Dutt has a must read article in the Hindustan Times on how much truth we as the Indian Public want.

How much skepticism are we willing to apply when it comes to our institutions and the statements coming out from them?

Best Nokia Phone ever?!

This is my next cell phone, the Nokia E71. I had heard this was coming out a while ago, but was reminded again today when I saw a link on Mobile Crunch to an accidentally Nokia demo, which had already been taken offline before I could watch it. I started googling a bit and found this pre release review.

It takes a lot to get us excited but the E71 has done it. This thing, in our opinion, is the best phone Nokia has made to date. That’s a very bold statement, we know. But this really is going to be the phone to beat by a lot of manufacturers. From the design, to the specs, to the size, the feel — it has the entire package.

Ive been using the E61 for almost 2 years now, and its time for a change. I was thinking of the E61i, but now I am going to wait till this ones out.

I was reading this post on ultrabrown, and saw the last image of screenshots from Mike Meyers new movie The Love Guru.

Roughly translated that says: You worship or honor the hair on my butt .

Oliver Stone is making a movie on the life of George W. Bush. Im not joking he really is. Im 100% sure that the controversy surrounding the movie will be far more entertaining than the movie itself.

Seriously how interesting could a movie made about W. be? Is there any story there other than goofy rich kids get lucky?

When was the last time Oliver Stone made an interesting movie? His last seven movies were World Trade Centre, Alexander, Comandante, Any Given Sunday, U Turn, Nixon, and Natural Born Killers. World Trade Centre and Alexander sucked. I never heard of Commandante. Any Given Sunday was ok. U Turn sucked, Nixon was ok, and Natural Born Killers would have released 15 years before W’s planned 2009 release.

Neither on their own are very interesting.

Microsoft Surface is a new interface that Microsoft has developed. Its initially going to be sold to large customers like T Mobile and Sheraton Hotels, but it looks like the Minority Report future is not far. Or at least not that far.
